Happiness comes from spiritual wealth, not material wealth... Happiness comes from giving, not getting. If we try hard to bring happiness to others, we cannot stop it from coming to us also. To get joy, we must give it, and to keep joy, we must scatter it.

Mary Francis offers the best combination of hands-on work, movement and guided imagery. Developmental Repatterning work will be used to help you discover your postural strengths and weaknesses. A session leads the way to a deeper understanding of your body-mind life.

Each session skillfully attunes you to your own physical-sensory awareness.
Sessions are tailored to fit your individual needs.

HANDS-ON WORK: Sophisticated techniques are used to release excess tension and increase awareness of specific areas of the body. As a Somatic Movement Therapist, Mary Francis is trained to contact the different layers and types of tissue that make up the body. She uses specific qualities of touch to emphasize or de-emphasis the body's tissue to help restore him/her to a balanced condition of health.

HEALING TOUCH THERAPY:  Healing Touch is a philosophy, way of caring, and a sacred healing art. Healing Touch is defined as an energy based therapeutic approach to healing.  It uses a collection of energy based treatment techniques to assess and treat the human energy system, thus affecting physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and healing.  We are using the Healing Touch that all influence the energy system that is life. By assessing, treating and evaluating the energy system, the practitioner assists the client to self heal.

GENTLE YOGA: Yoga basics with a Somatic Yoga flair!! This is a GENTLE combination of somatic exercises (Thomas Hanna) and yoga poses. These classes offer a vehicle to lengthen and strengthen your muscles.  During this whole body experience, you will improve flexibility, increase vitality and develop core balance. This is also very relaxing and involves movement, breathing variations, and sound that helps the body to unwind.

CONTEMPLATIVE DANCE AND AUTHENTIC MOVEMENT: This is a practice often referred to as a moving meditation. Moving, being witnessed and embracing the inner material that emerges offers an opportunity to draw nearer to self, other and relationship with the Divine. This work is done in a circle, creative art forming, journaling and clay work is generally used as another vehicle to continue the process begun in the movng session.

IMAGERY: This is part of the tablework that takes clients into a relaxed state offering the opportunity for the immune system to restore itself.  Positive, creative metaphors drawn from anatomy and physiology are used to enhance learning and open up new possibilities of movement and expression.
TOUCH FOR HEALTH:  Perceiving the body as a multidimensional, wholistic creation rather than as a complex machine makes Touch for Health an effective instrument in allowing people to explore and harmonize these dimensions.  A balanced effect can be achieved through muscle testing known as Applied Kinesiology, addressing the neurolymphatic massage points and neurovascular holding points.
SOMATIC MOVEMENT EDUCATION AND THERAPY:  This integrated approach of using body, mind, movement and touch opens the pathways in the body to heightened sensory awareness and vitality.  My clients learn many applications that enhance and encourage detoxification within the lymphatic system.
KINETIC AWARENESS :  Kinetic Awareness is one approach to somatic education that provides an opportunity to explore movement potential and develop movement possibilities. Because this system of body discovery and therapy uses graduated rubber balls to enhance body awareness and release excess muscular tension, Kinetic Awareness is often referred to as "The Ball Work". Balls placed under various parts of the body provide contact with inner sensations, bringing a deeper psycho-physical awareness.
CRANIALSACRAL WORK:  Craniosacral Therapy is a non-invasive and indirect approach to restoring mobility to the central nervous system.  It embraces the concept that there is mobility between the cranial bones, mobility between the sacrum and ilia, and reciprocal tension membranes called the dura that regulate the movement in this system.

LIGHT EMISSION THERAPY:  Protein bondings in the lymph system create an obstacle in the free flow of lymph circulation. Trapped blood protein clusters are broken up with a hands on technique. Mary Francis also uses this non-invasive therapy utilizing Photon and Low-Frequency Laser to restore lymphatic circulation throughout the human body.

PETECHIAL SUCTION MASSAGE: A new application I am introducing with Dr. Yu's supervision. This works with the matrix of the body. The treatment objective is to create a partial vacuum, which mechanically loosens clogged deposits and toxins and aids the body in excreting them through the lymphatic system.
